Sowing Seeds, Inc. - Christ Centered program to help men in crisis and men coming from incarceration as they make a successful transition back into society. We provide housing assistance and utility bill subsidies, food bank grocery and transportation to shopping and Church.

Sowing Seeds also provides spiritual and mental nurture by providing Bible studies, life issues classes and mental health sessions weekly.

Letter from the President

            I am so thrilled and delighted to share with you how Sowing Seeds was birthed 11 years ago.  When I was at Faith Farm Ministries, and intense drug and alcohol residential facility, I remember thinking, “When I finish my recovery, I want to make a difference in the lives of other men”.  Amazingly, my life is now is a reflection of the seeds that so many people planted in me during that period of my life.  As those seeds began to germinate and ultimately sprout up, God led me to come to Lakeland after graduation.  There I met my wife, acquired my business and met Fred DeMouey.  Little by little, those seeds began to bloom, eventually partnering with Fred to lead two Light House Ministry services per month.  What is now known as Sowing Seeds Ministries began as a vision which turned into a weekly bible study for men, once per week at the Freedom Center.  Who would have thought that a few resources, watching videos, eating, and playing basketball with men would become what it is today.

            Today, Sowing Seeds, Inc. is a full service 501 (c) 3 Not For Profit Organization, providing individual and group counseling, drug and alcolhol counseling, discipleship training, personal development courses, job search assistance, meals and mentoring.  There are countless stories of men and families who are beneficiaries of unselfish people who took the time to spread seed.

            If a few seeds planted in the life of someone who once was in the shoes of those we now serve, imagine what God can do if many seeds are planted.
